A fan translated this piece by Junichi because Tsuyoshi Domoto was having some mood swings at his concert back then and it might have to do with pressure and it so happens that Junichi wrote about pressure in the Myoyo Magazine that month.

Because you have to work hard, that’s why you feel pressure…

When I watch the Olympics and WBC, the contestants who have to struggle under the prospects of win or lose, they bound to demand the upper limit of themselves. Perhaps this encompasses unimaginable pressure for me? If one could not win the pressure in oneself, even in the competition, you wouldn’t be able to achieve victory.

Up till now, I don’t seem to have experienced too much pressure. Before I start a new shoot, there are days when I couldn’t fall asleep but is that considered pressure? I don’t know very well either.

After the shoot starts, my brain is focused only on how to produce a good piece of work and it doesn’t seem to feel, “Oh…it’s pressure…” Of course after the shoot, I also would not feel “Victory!” type. (laughs) Nor do I have the thinking of “I did very well already” and feel contented.

The ratings of the drama or the box office results are judged by figures. Like the Olympics and the WBC type of competition, it is the same type of win and lose world.  But perhaps our real world doesn’t really have such winners? The world would not consist of things that no matter who looks at it and would feel, “This is the best.”

Yee…ultimately, I am the type who could not feel pressure. Because I’m dumb (laughs) How should I say it? Is thinking about how to produce a good piece of work considered pressure?

But, most people would change because of such things. They take note of others around them and try not to irritate them and they feel responsible for their own speech and action….This type of pressure is definite.

What a find! This Korean popera tenor, Im Hyung-Ju, is going to give a concert in London and I was wondering how he sounded. Listen to this one even though it is a Christmas song: White Bye Bye.

But my interest is not his Christmas album White Dream nor the Live from Seoul which you could sample here or here also but his Korean drama theme songs. He has a great voice!! Oh, there is a new MV from him finally called Lucia Di Lammermoorr. Watch it here. Thank goodness he has some more hair now. Good song! Alright, alright, watch this one instead. Vitas was in China doing a tour recently and he was also at a CCTV program singing live and this one here has Chinese subtitles of the meaning of the the song. Beautiful performance! This one here also has subs and he has longer hair. Don't worry about the youtube crowd thinking that he lip-synced. In China, it is illegal to lip-sync in live performances now.

Here's the movie that Tsui Hark, Ringo Lam and Johnnie To directed. Well, the first time I see a trailer, about Louis Koo and two brothers. Louis Koo is a lazy  taxi driver tring to make it big. Realtor Simon Yam is going bankrupt and Sun Hong Lei is folding his antique business. Simon Yam's wife has a lover who is a policeman for whom Louis Koo is an informant.

Hmm, Yamapi's drama Kurosagi would be made into a movie for release next Spring. Not excited about it.  Junichi Okada is already doing a swindler movie soon, but Junichi's one seems to have more conflict in it because he would have turmoil trying to swindle his closed ones.  Kurosagi the drama is very lame. Ha, I never thought I would say that but I actually like the new single 喜びの歌  of Kat-Tun. The first song was in a PV and I thought Jin looked totally together and has potential to be sexy not that I care, but he has more aura than any of the other boys.  But the second song Your Side, when Koki is not rapping, is actually very listenable. It reminds me of some songs in the 90's. I like the chorus Aishiteru! Aishiteru!  at least up to the first 49 seconds.   And then from 1.12 to 1.36, it almost sounds like a Chinese song. Actually, there is one more song I like of this group.  The Oda Kazumasa composition 僕らの街で for Kame's last drama. Now that's a good Oda song with young voices. I am a fan of Oda but his songs no matter sung by who are always good. And thank goodness there is no rapping for the forever irritating Koki. You could listen to it here, track 1.

Today I was driving the two boys to swimming lessons and in the car, my middle one took off his socks so that he wouldn't have to struggle to put them on after swimming.  Suddenly I heard a high pitched girly scream - Eeeeaaaaaahhhhh! Eeeeaaaaaahhhhh! from the middle one.
