There is a band in the US called Rain and therefore they are putting an injunction to stop Rain from using his English name in the US tour. I'm in a good mood again. I don't know how the day passes by so quickly. I spent an hour pulling weeds up and usually it's an annoying task for me but these days, I'm so relaxed that I don't even need to plug earphones in and drown myself as I blunt and blacken my fingers. And I even have the leisure to illustrate some news articles - something I always wanted to try my hand at - social commentary in pictures. So happy. If I had known life is so relaxing without the forum, I would have dumped it 3 years earlier...hahaha....but then, I wouldn't have known Kimura, nor Goro, Jang Dong Gun, nor Kinki Kids...and ultimately, Junichi Okada. HA!

Anyway, my husband is talking about converting our 100 feet by 200ft sloping backyard into terraces of 3 levels and grow trees so that he wouldn't have to mow the lawn every week. I'm all for it. But I want a zen garden. I've already given my husband a desktop zen garden like this one.

A fan translated this piece by Junichi because Tsuyoshi Domoto was having some mood swings at his concert back then and it might have to do with pressure and it so happens that Junichi wrote about pressure in the Myoyo Magazine that month.

Because you have to work hard, that’s why you feel pressure…

When I watch the Olympics and WBC, the contestants who have to struggle under the prospects of win or lose, they bound to demand the upper limit of themselves. Perhaps this encompasses unimaginable pressure for me? If one could not win the pressure in oneself, even in the competition, you wouldn’t be able to achieve victory.

Up till now, I don’t seem to have experienced too much pressure. Before I start a new shoot, there are days when I couldn’t fall asleep but is that considered pressure? I don’t know very well either.

After the shoot starts, my brain is focused only on how to produce a good piece of work and it doesn’t seem to feel, “Oh…it’s pressure…” Of course after the shoot, I also would not feel “Victory!” type. (laughs) Nor do I have the thinking of “I did very well already” and feel contented.

Hahaha...I was just reading some forums and it is said that the great great great grandfather and the great great grandfather were British and therefore Junichi is 1/8 British.

Then in 1998 V6 concert, Inohara was talking about shopping for guitar with Junichi one day and since it was Junichi's first guitar, Tsuyoshi Domoto also went along to help choose. In the shop, there was a guitar that said Do Not Touch but Junichi touched it and the shop keeper scolded Junichi. Tsuyoshi then held Junichi's hand all the way until the purchase is completed. Inohara said that it was like Junichi's mother taking Junichi out for shopping...

This song 春天，来吧！here is a cover of a Japanese song from an NHK drama. Aiya...his voice is so good!!! Listen to this 何月歌 (Misty Moon Korea Ver.)

Some one used one of his songs to make an MV and this one here streams faster. There is something to Korean love ballads that you could not find in Asia. They are so romantic, just like their dramas.

We are watching this period drama Fuurin Kazan by NHK about the 16th century war strategist Yamamoto Kansuke and his ascent to power. If your country shows it, you have to watch it. This is as exciting as Yoshitsune! Kansuke is blind in one eye and limp from an illness and refused to become a priest. As a ronin, he went all over Japan to observe battles and yearned to become a strategist. And his chance came when his wife was killed by a cruel warlord and he became a spy for them. Neat neat story line of exciting intrique.

This one here also has subs and he has longer hair. Don't worry about the youtube crowd thinking that he lip-synced. In China, it is illegal to lip-sync in live performances now.

I was introduced to this Russian artist a year ago and really enjoyed his very shrill soprano voice. But most of all, my children and I love his dramatics in his music videos. Every time he sings at the superhuman high pitch, he does something really weird. But for first timers, I highly suggest you watch the live performance of OPERA no. 2 which made him famous. That performance really shook me up as to my perception of what a male voice could not do.

I understand that he has been touring around Asia and becoming very popular too. Here is his official website where you could read about him and download his videos. And of course you could go to youtube and watch all of them too. Here's the live version of Opera no. 2.
