This was the first series I watched of Koichi's, and also his latest one, sadly in 2002.  I wish he would make more series.

He played the role of a police detective who hid in an underground facility to direct his operations because he could not forgive himself for making a mistake in a case he worked on.  The new recruit to work for him was Fukada Kyoko who as a traffic police was ready to quit her job as soon as she would be married.

Fukada was very cute in this one, screaming her head off most of the time as she was freaked out by all that surrounded him as Koichi pressed her on over the communicator through the investigations.  The urgency in Koichi's voice made the series very suspenseful. A great series for the kids.  But mamas like me would enjoy the Koichi parts even more.

The series was an adaptation of a manga by the same name and when we saw it a Barnes and Nobles, we were elated.  The character in the manga also had long hair, but I think Koichi looked better than the manga one.




What was surprising to me, as a new Koichi fan, was that I now learnt that he by the name of K. Dino actually composed the song and wrote the lyrics by himself.  Whenever it came on, that longing in his voice was so strong that I was glued to the seat, feeling for him even as the credits rolled.
