The wicked wicked Tsuyoshi Domoto

Utaban vs Kinki Kids Table Tennis

Thank you for sharing this clip! He really was cheeky and
handsome, and playing up to the camera and audience like that,
wow...so attractive. I have to admit, I think he still possesses
the animal magnetism. Without the facial hair, he would look
like his younger self, even though he might be heavier now. I
feel like he purposefully wears it also to repel the attention
he gets. For someone of his disposition, that overwhelming
attention must be unbearable. Koichi is great here as he plays
along with the dirty tricks. In many of these old videos, they
really were a team. I'm excited but also anxious about their new
release and those cons because I wonder how they will be
together. Ah, they used to complement each other so well. Like
in this clip, one is cool and the other is fiery, one is
beautiful and the other is saucy.
I was wondering, have you seen this clip,
http://youtube.com/watch?v=1_hyJIhfecw
and if you have, is it really Koichi?
Yes, that is Koichi. He was in a short drama where there was one part where he played
geisha.
green bottle, I have exactly the same feelings as you do about Tsuyoshi, but every
time I raise it, someone is bound to say it's his panic disorder. In truth, aside from
the fact that he might have the side effects of medication and therefore gain weight,
I feel that he himself wants to destroy his idol image so as to be a total musician
and make sure that fans love him for his music and nothing else. Sometimes, I find
that he doesn't want to be in Domoto Brothers and therefore explains the lacksadasical
attitude and behavior of not talking much and not being too involved. Compared to Love
Love Aishiteru, he is a totally different person. And he only brightens up when food
is served at the end? I'm not sure anymore if that is really attractive or cute.
For the few episodes of Shindoi I watch, I have a slightly similar feeling, that he is
tired of it all, although less extreme.
Therefore he comes out with his eccentric costume in the concert. Have you seen the
latest purple jacket he has on with frills on one lapel and straight lapel on the
other side. I think he is trying to shock in 60's -80's style. I'm sure diehard
Tsuyoshi fans don't mind. hahaha... and he would scare away those like me who are
looking for good looking guys. That's fine, I'll listen to him rather than watch him,
which is what he wants. Mission accomplished.
But poor Koichi! What does that leave him? Kinki Kids could not be transformed to
Koichi and Keri (K&K). That's why I too share your fear of the next album and the
December concert not knowing if they could still mesh their styles after such a
drastic change on Tsuyoshi's part. Koichi I know is still very pop idolish and could
do the same idol performance.
The question is whether Tsuyoshi is willing to revert to that style. The Natsu single
promotion looked pretty forced already. I would not be surprised if JE is not going
to promote them for this single as much on TV shows because the two probably are a bit
out of sync after a whole year. But then, we should know soon. Another few more
weeks we could see if Tsuyoshi and Koichi could become Kinki Kids again or not. I
would rather that all I said will be proven wrong and have a merry time watching them
on TV being the perfect duo than such pessimistic predictions. Thanks for posting
your comments, green bottle. Always enjoy being able to say frankly what I think of
Tsuyoshi if only Tsuyo fans want to listen.
just fall for tsuyoshi...you don't have to struggle you know...hehehe...
(heaven is smiling like an evil)
You have very good points about Tsuyoshi wanting people to love
him for his music and his own creation, not the creation of JE.
It's a problem when I think of Koichi and how KinKi can survive
if Tsuyo doesn't want to play the pop idol game anymore. What I
hope is they can have more guitar-based numbers and somehow they
can bring together the different talents they've developed as
solo artists, even if it's not going to be KinKi Kids as they
used to be. The concerts could be so interesting if they're left
to choose how to produce them. I don't know if I've seen enough
DB episodes, but since Tsuyo can be lively with certain guests
(people he knows, funny people), if they find a balance in the
guest list...maybe it will be okay? But I do wish the fire would
light up again. Maybe they need to put them next to each other
like in LLA. :) Are they still friends in real life? For Koichi,
who has stuck by Tsuyoshi for so long, it must be very hard, too.
