Koichi fan meeting 2004 for DVD concert release
This is the fan meeting held after the DVD of 2004's 1/2 concert that is subbed in Chinese. There are 7 parts altogether and I'm watching them gradually. In part 1 , Koichi said that he was to organize this fan meeting before the DVD release but then no one would have seen it so they organized it for later. (It's 5 or 6 months after the concert). There were Shanghai fans and Koichi said 你好.
In part 2, he did more talking.
In part 3, he sang and danced Where is Tomorrow and was totally exhausted so he asked MA, the backup dancers, to introduce themselves. They said this song was sung right after So Young Blues and they didn't realize it could take up so much energy. If you have never watched Koichi dance before, this is a good clip to watch. He is so smooth!! My daughter, who is on term break, cannot stop screaming (even though we both have watched his dances so many times!)
Okay, part 4, in the first part he mentioned something about cars I think, not sure. "You must think I drink a lot of water and then I have to take time to go to the bathroom. Of course I have to go to the bathroom. I absorb it all." Then he said I would sing In Our Dreams, a nonsensical song. Audience said it's not.
K: I say it's nonsensical and right away someone say it's interesting. Well, for this song if you feel like it, you could stand up. But then perhaps for those who came today, for their age, they should remain seated. (hahaha...Koichi looks really cute in the 2.50 segment. A must see!!!) Just kidding. But I see some of you are in uniforms? Where did you buy your cosplay costume? (hahaha) I see little kids too. Thanks for coming. For the song, do you all know the lyrics? (Yes). Then I'll ask you to sing suddenly.
So he sang this wonderful song, followed by Melting Snow.
In part 5, Koichi sang Melting Snow and he said this was the first time he performed it live and he got the lyrics wrong in the second verse and was sure the audience noticed. He said it would be his last time. The audience said they wanted to hear more of it again. When the audience kept saying he's cute, he said of course it's expected you would all say that...He said that KK had more solo activities and many would feel that KK would not appear in activities together. He said that when they sing together then he realized he is Kinki Kids. As Higashiyama said, once a Shonentai, always a Shonentai (the translation of the group means young team). He said KK would release a song soon and it's been a year already. Of course Tsuyoshi would be in it. He thought it would be a very good song and there would be a KK concert too at the end of the year. And when people arrive, they would say, this is Kinki Kids? He asked the audience what is 11 x 23 and he could tell right away it's 253. He said it was not very useful information but all you need to do is bring the 2 down, add 2 to 3, put 5 in, put 3 behind. 11x11, the audience asked, he said right away 121.
In part 6, he was pressed to sing the new song Anniversary. He sang one line, the first note and the last note. Tsuyoshi said that as a 20th single, they should give the fans the typical Kinki Kids dance steps but this song really is not suited for dancing. Compared to dancing, he would rather offer a good song. The audience went on to chat with him. One asked him to take off his clothes and he said which side (meaning the audience or him) and the audience said either way. He thought everyone is perverted. Then one asked him to take off his wig. Audience asked him when he would get married. He said he is 26 and it is not unusual for people to get married at this age but he would not in the next 4 years.
In part 7, the audience pressed him to bring the girl out from hiding. He said he really didn't have one. Audience didn't believe him and insisted he had. He said this has been circulated rumor for many years but he really didn't. But Tsuyoshi is rumored to be hiding one in Nagoya. Haha....Anyway, he sang So Young Blues.
Part 8, So Young Blues. When he finished, he introduced the dancers once more and left. After a while, he came back out and the audience pressed for another song. He said he really hadn't prepared anymore. But he said that to be able to share this space and time here is very precious to him. It's all very relaxed. Even though it's been almost 7 months since March concert. No, he corrected himself, over 7 months. "I almost don't know math anymore." He said that such meeting (with fans) is only during Kinki Kids' concerts. So to be able to share this special time with him, a lot of people couldn't come, you should be proud. No, I'm just kidding. There's nothing to be proud of. But to be remembered in your hear, I feel totally blessed.
