Junichi Okada Myoyo March 2007 Interview

You guys want to know what he's talking about horse riding?
Now, here we go

*His partner for today is a 6 year-old mare named "輝 (Kagayaki)-brightness". To put it into human, she's a 24 year-old beautiful lady. Then, are they getting along well with each other...?

"heh-heh..."

Okada smiled a mysterious smile, and entered the ground with Princess Kagayaki.

*"I haven't ridden for a long time." he said.

Zipping along on a horse, he looked extremely cool! Basic movements and also hurdles, he stepped easily. Coaches at the practice ground all praised him for his steady and well-balanced activity. Whinny!

*It was about three years ago when Okada first met with a horse riding.

"No, I struggled a lot. I rode for four hours a day every day at first, because I thought I had to practice intensively. Then my buttocks swelled up just like a tennis ball. (laugh)"

*Actually, he has showed us a magnificent with runnning at full speed on a horse in "大化の改新-Taika no Kaishin."

"Yeah, it was really great. Well-trained horses for dramas are moreover special. At shooting, I was going to be serious and also horses were itching to run. I heard 'They are actors, too.' and I was deeply impressed."

*The importance for riding is what a human and a horse hit it off very well together.

"Getting along well is not only for horses, but for people after all. I used to think that my character and indivisuality exist only in my heart. But recently I've come to think that it shows up in the way I build relationships with people. For instance, how to show considerlation for people, how to exchange views with them...don't you think the character shows up naturally in those method?"

Indeed. We can't get along well with horses or people if we persist in demanding unilaterally.

"Somehow I can understand the character of the horse at once when I ride on. The horse is sure to observe how I respond to. How to make a compromise is ..."

Horse riding is profound...

"Simply it's comfortable to run with the wind, and I feel the world is wider than ever because my sight is high."

*Well, how is the character of Princess Kagayaki dating with him today?

"She's quite a spoiled girl. (laugh) She's showing me that she's not going to be under my thumb easily. But it's cute! anyway."

He grinned and resumed dating.
