Today I was driving the two boys to swimming lessons and in the car, my middle one took off his socks so that he wouldn't have to struggle to put them on after swimming.  Suddenly I heard a high pitched girly scream - Eeeeaaaaaahhhhh! Eeeeaaaaaahhhhh! from the middle one.

Me: What's wrong?
Middle son: Eeeeaaaaaahhhhh! Eeeeaaaaaahhhhh!  My veins! my veins! I could see my veins. They are sticking out!
Me: eh?
Middle son: Mom, I'm a grandpa but I haven't even got married and have a son, I'm already a grandpa. Mom! Eeeeaaaaaahhhhh! I'm old....

Hahahaha...OMG....my middle son has been severely traumatized from seeing his 85 year old grandma's veins on her foot the last time she visited.

So at dinner, I retold this with the exact scream...Eeeeaaaaaahhhhh! Eeeeaaaaaahhhhh!  Mom!....

My family were laughing so hard.  

Daughter: OMG, you...you are a sad case, kid!  You mean it took you 10 years to notice your veins?
Middle son smiled sheepishly.
Father: It's okay.  He has another 8 years to develop his brain. 
The father very uncharacteristically gently measured his son's head with his big hand rather than whacking him on the head.
Father: When you get to 18...

Me: What? when he gets to 18, he'll notice the veins on his hands?
My youngest son was laughing incontrollably by now.
Father: Son, what do you think would happen when you are 20 and on a date at night and suddenly you look at your hand?

The family  was ROFL...my middle one walked towards the kitchen with his back to us to avoid answering...

Daughter: No, he would go Eeeeaaaaaahhhhh! Eeeeaaaaaahhhhh! Eeeeaaaaaahhhhh!  my hand, my veins, my hand...

The youngest one approached him...: Hey, brother, your veins are popping out at your wrist....

OMG, we are so relentless in teasing this one but he is such a good sport.  He will be very well loved by many no matter where.
