JUNICHI OKADA
This would be a general thread of Junichi Okada.
Hahaha...I was just reading some forums and it is said that the great great great grandfather and the great great grandfather were British and therefore Junichi is 1/8 British.
Then in 1998 V6 concert, Inohara was talking about shopping for guitar with Junichi one day and since it was Junichi's first guitar, Tsuyoshi Domoto also went along to help choose. In the shop, there was a guitar that said Do Not Touch but Junichi touched it and the shop keeper scolded Junichi. Tsuyoshi then held Junichi's hand all the way until the purchase is completed. Inohara said that it was like Junichi's mother taking Junichi out for shopping...
It was noticed that Junichi and Tsuyoshi both have the same Buddhist beads. And on one of the Donnamoya broadcast in 2005, Tsuyoshi said that Junichi gave him a purple string which he uses for his concert on the head at times. Junichi said that it wouldn't be appropriate to buy Tsuyoshi a ring and since Tsuyoshi would only wear the necklace from his mother, he chose a piece of string instead.
Not sure if this part is real but it was a page of comic strips from a 2001 magazine and it was said that Tsuyoshi was not too busy back then and so he would send annoying emails to his friends. One was to Inohara and the other was to Junichi. Junichi said Tsuysohi's mail is almost annoying type of mail because every time it is no less than 250 words. And apart from the last few words, most of it are contents of little use. When Tsuyoshi wants to disturb Inohara, he would say, "How was the movie yesterday..." But if it were Junichi's, he woud ask, "Junichi, what are you doing? Hey!!! I'm asking you now" type of rude mail.
In 2006, some Japanese fans saw Junichi going to the Endlicheri Endlicheri concert around June 5, 6. It was understood that before the concert, Junichi went backstage for a bit and he didn't come to the seating area until 2-3 songs later. Perhaps it was because he pulled the cap way down on his face and no one noticed him until a few songs later when he had to leave.

This is really old news but I'm gradually learning to surf the Japanese news sites and everything is interesting to me. Even this old news of 2002.

I realized only now that Koichi has been recognized in these TV drama awards only once so far.
In the 6th Tokyo Sports TV Awards, he was chosen as the best supporting actor for the drama Remote in 2002. I've cropped the charts for posterity sake.
Don't think that he outwon Kimura who's in second position because Kimura had The Smile Has Left Your Eyes and Good Luck that 4 quarters and in both, Kimura was awarded the best actor for the season in both. Nevertheless, Koichi said in this report that he was very happy to have been so recognized.

What caught my attention instead is that Junichi Okada at no. 17 in Love Quotient as supporting actor outdid Goro no. 16 in the same drama by a little. If you examine very closely Junichi's ranking, the guys sank him for his gay role, but the girls especially in the teens saved him. The telephone respondents has less affinity to him than those who surf the net in no matter what age group. Whereas for Goro, the phone surveys are more advantageous for him - meaning, Goro's popularity is more widespread and people answer by recall more easily than Junichi back in 2002.

Goro has a 6 years head start compared to Junichi and so that is most natural. But if I could find a similar survey of such for recent years, I definitely want to study it in detail again. The tide may have changed by now.
In the overall ranking in the very end, Junichi is 174 points above Goro.
I can't help comparing numbers. For I pay attention to these four very closely and it is so rare to have 2 of them in the same drama and 4 of them in the same year to be reviewed at the same time.

Japan has innumberable prince type of character and apart from exterior looks, they also have a stylish touch to them. Recently, Oricon held a poll for the white horse prince for netizens and divided it into two groups. For musicians, Koichi Domoto won and for the artists side, it's Hiroshi Tamaki.
In the singers side, Koichi Domoto, Mitsuhiru Oikawa and Gackt got the first 3 positions. Some voters said that Koichi's smile is very refreshing and he lacks a sense of real living and therefore is very much in line with a prince image. Actually, Mitsuhiru Oikawa and Gackt are even more thorough that fans could not imagine what their normal life could be like. In the fifth positon is Fukuyama Masaharu but because he is very warm generally and at times throw in an off color joke here and there that he only got the fifth position. Also included are Tackey, Yamapi and Taguchi Junnosuke.
1. Koichi Domoto
2. Mitsuhiru Oikawa
3. Gackt
4. Tackey
5. Fukuyama Masaharu
6. Hyde
7. Yamapi
8. Hikawa Kiyoshi
9. Junichi Okada
10. Taguchi Junnosuke
The singers section is almost all dominated by the Johnny's Entertainment artists but in the artist section, it was the opposite. Only Higashiyama from JE is included. Hiroshi Tamaki in his recent drama has a prince like role and this placed him ahead of his competition. In the second position is Shin Oguri, and the third is Wat's Wentz Eiji and Teppei Koike.
