In a good mood

Ah! I'm in a good mood again. I don't know how the day passes by so quickly.  I spent an hour pulling weeds up and usually it's an annoying task for me but these days, I'm so relaxed that I don't even need to plug earphones in and drown myself as I blunt and blacken my fingers.  And I even have the leisure to illustrate some news articles - something I always wanted to try my hand at - social commentary in pictures. So happy.  If I had known life is so relaxing without the forum, I would have dumped it 3 years earlier...hahaha....but then, I wouldn't have known Kimura, nor Goro, Jang Dong Gun, nor Kinki Kids...and ultimately, Junichi Okada. HA!

Anyway, my husband is talking about converting our 100 feet by 200ft sloping backyard into terraces of 3 levels and grow trees so that he wouldn't have to mow the lawn every week.  I'm all for it.  But I want a zen garden.  I've already given my husband a desktop zen garden like this one.

But when we have a real one, I would be doing this every morning...hehehe....

and meditate at dusk with this.

Then I could fill this blog with drawings and drawings of my zen garden...haha...

Alright, enough gibberish.  I need to illustrate my dream and post it.

Man, I don't know why but I'm in a very good mood today. Perhaps it's because we have finally booked all the flights for my husband and daughter and that's one less worry. Hubby is going to take the daughter to Geneva, Switzerland to drop her off for a French intensive course for one and a half month, head over to Spain for his one week conference, come home for two days and head out to Vietnam for 15 days. I get to spend quality time with the boys this summer. Anyway, I did chaperon the middle son in his field trip yesterday and am totally happy about it. We had fun going through the State Museum looking for answers to five work sheets on coal miners, apple packers, shipbuiding equipment, mineral ores in this state. And of course I do not come home empty handed. Photos!   Not the best...but these will be basis for my colored pencil renderings soon.

Sigh...life is good....

Does your daughter already know some French or will it be her

first time learning?

This is her first time learning so it would be quite

intensive! She's excited about it.

I'm glad you're enjoying your time. =)

The zen garden idea is good! I want a zen room haha

Glad to know that you're enjoying yourself too! :D

Still amazes that your family is so international! Flying to

Geneva to learn French! Wow!
